1 week away guys

Guys, we are now a week away from another exciting spirit filled evening of food, fellowship, worship, testimonies and prayer. We are meeting at the White County Fairgrounds beginning at 6:30. Fellowship Bible Church is the host church this month and it promises to be a wonderful evening. They have requested that you bring a food item of either peanut butter or jelly this will be going to the Good Samaritan Ministry. They are having a old fashion cook out of burgers and hot dogs with all the good stuff that goes with that. They also have some very powerful speakers line up to give testimonies. I have not heard their worship band but have been told that they are very good so we are looking forward to the worship. We also have a couple of other special things line up for the evening. We fully intend to have you on your way home by 8:30. The men at St. Paul are going to have the Crosses to give away to put in your yard again this month so after you leave they will be out there to give out. Also they want the churches to know that if they would like to pick up some for distribution at their church they could get as many as they want. So if you would, get out the word to your friends and fellow church members. Remember this is all about Jesus and guys witnessing to other men of their love for Him. Guys try to bring son's and their friends with you. We need to know if you are coming so let us know if you have not already done so. May God Bless you and yours.

March 8th meeting

Guys, thanks to Thomas Ritchie for sending this devotional that he received. It give clarity to what Sons of Thunder is all about.
ChristAsUs Devotional
Even the Bible itself is interpreted and understood in various ways, and so always becomes the center of sectarianism. Just in the same way, dogmas and creeds cannot bring Christian unity, because human minds are not so uniformly created that they can unite in a single dogma or creed. Even our understanding of Christ Himself cannot be the basis of unity, because He is too big to be understood by any one person or group, and therefore our limited understandings do not always coincide. One emphasizes this point about Christ, another that; and this again becomes the cause of divisions. If we will only take our fellowship with Christ as the center of Christian faith, all Christians will realize their oneness... All our fellowship, however varied, is with the same Lord, and the same Saviour is our one Head.

We are now less than two weeks away from our next meeting. Fellowship Bible is hosting the meeting at the White County Fairgrounds. We will start at 6:30 with an old fashion cook out of Burgers, Dogs and all that goes with it. We hope to have you on the way home by 8:30 or so with His Spirit glowing on your face like it did on Moses face when came down from the mountain. Remember this is all about Jesus loving us and us loving Jesus. If you have not let us know yet please do so by hitting reply and give us the number of guys coming with you. God Bless

March 8th meeting

Guys, we are now a little more than 2 weeks from out next meeting. We have had a couple of planning meetings and this one is beginning to take shape. Fellowship Bible Church is going to host this meeting. We suspected that the Fellowship's facilities would not be big enough, so we contacted the White County Fairground Association and have made arrangements to meet there. We have had a anonymous donor step up and cover the cost of the building and tables and chairs. God is good. The guys at Fellowship are very excited about hosting and are planning a great meal. It will be an old fashion cook out of burgers, hot dogs, beans, chips and homemade desserts. We are going to have the usual prayer, worship, testimonies, worship and prayer. This arrangement will enable us to continue to grow and get more men and churches coming and be a witness of their love for Jesus. Our vision is for some of the smaller churches to get together and host a meeting now that we have a building big enough for them to do so. Fellowship has asked that if you could bring either peanut butter or jelly for the Good Samaritan ministry. That is a food item that we never seem to have enough of. We can seat around 700 men so start talking it up and lets make this one the biggest yet. Bring a friend, a co-worker, son, grandson, dad, brother, brother-in-law, or uncle you get the idea. We recommend that the sons should be at least youth age. If you are coming let us know so we can have a close enough count for the food. Please try to announce it at your church or get it in the bulletin these next three of Sundays. I will keep you updated on what is happening. We love you guys and may God Bless you and yours.

What a night at Valley

Thank you John,
For the blessing comming forth from you men who continue (often behind the sceen's) to facilitate the good that Son's of Thunder is doing for us as a community of believers... I realize more and more how badly we need this for our community and world right now.
I See this like the ark of the Lord, that stands as a haven for us, a provision out of the storm that's ragging against all people, and especially Christians in these last days. Satan is very angry because he knows his time is short, and our calling and promise is to be victorious over him.
The apostle Paul wrote, "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet". (Rm.16:20)
Keep fighting the good fight, and
To God be the Glory, great things he has done!

A week away

Guys, we are now a week away from our next SOT meeting. We will be meeting this
month at Valley Baptist Church at 6:30. Valley Baptist is located oh Hwy 36 west
you can't miss it. Pastor Hays and his staff are preparing a very special night
of fellowship and worship of our Lord Jesus. The men of Valley have a great
Bar-Be-Que meal planned. Valley will be having upward basketball the same night
so when you come go to the west entrance and park on that side and in back.
Valley is going to be rocking that night. Remember bring a non-perishable food
item this is going to replenish the food for Good Samaritan. We have a lot of
things planed for this night but will be on our way home by 8:30. Don't forget
to pick up your cross on the way out for your yard. I have begun to see more and
more crosses in yards. What a wonderful way to be a witness for Jesus. What a
better way to say to all who know you that "but as for me and my house , we will
serve the Lord" Joshua 24:14. Ok if you have not let us know yet do so by
hitting reply and give us a number. Try to bring a friend and also let your
church know so it can be put in your bulletin and announced in the pulpit. Guys,
if you have been blessed share this blessing with all the men you come in
contact with. God Bless
