Next meeting

Sons of Thunder, we are now 3 weeks away from our next SOT which will be at Downtown Church of Christ. The evening plan has not been set yet but Tom said that they are planing to have Breakfast that night. Like he said bacon is good all the time. He said that he would like for us to all visit the reading of the Sermon on the Mount. This could be a wonderful evening. Well we will talk about that when we have more information.
Speaking of wonderful evenings last Tuesday night the Holy Spirit showed up in a big way at the River. The food was just great Doug and his crew out did themselves again. Worship with that group of men on the stage was absolutely awesome. The testimonies were very good, we made a mistake trying to get three in one night, henseforth we went to long for the night. That was our fault and we apologize for that. We like to be on our way home by 8:30 and it was 9:30 when it got over. We will do our best not to let that happen again. For those that have ask how many we had in attendance it was real close to 600 our man that counted said it was 587. I know that we had several more churches added to the list and now we have over 100 churches that have had men attend. Boy, if that is not unity in the Body of Christ I don't know what unity is.
Well I guess I have said enough, we just want all of you know how much we love and appreciate you and your attendance. Men and families are being blessed every month. May God bless you and yours.

Sot at the River of LIfe

Jesus prayed in John 17:21 "that they all may be one, as You Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me". We are seeing what Jesus is praying about, happening in our little corner of the world. We all love our churches and the love and fellowship that we experience thru them. We all love our Lord Jesus Christ and are looking forward of his return and that prayer will be answered. Come Tuesday night to River of Life Church, exit 48, 67/167, 6:00 p.m. and witness for yourself what our God, thru his Holy Spirit can do.
What you will experience is a wonderful meal provided by "Who Dat's". Worship from the combined worship teams of 4 churches. Testimonies given by men from the River of Life, Centennial Baptist and the Word of Faith churches.
St. Paul's men will be there to give out crosses again for you to pick up and take back to your churches. What a great witness this cross ministry is making in Searcy for our love of Jesus. Remember to bring a jar of peanut butter for the Good Samaritan ministry. It is not hard to see that Sons of Thunder is all about Jesus, unity of churches, and their love for Him.
We know that it's going to be hot, probably in the 90 degree area at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Keith has assured us that it will be 72 degrees in that beautiful sanctuary. Tomorrow at church talk it up, if you can make an announcement from the pulpit do so. If you have not let us know you are coming and the number of men you are bringing with you, please do so by Monday night. Have a great day at church tomorrow. May God bless you and yours.

SOT at the River of LIfe

Guys, just a little update on our meeting at River of Life. Doug from "Who Dat's" has tentatively set the menu for our meeting. Because of the expected heat of the day and evening he is preparing things that will not be hard to keep safe. Red Beans and rice, Smoke Chicken quarters, Chips & Salsa, a Cold salad, Italian Ice and Tea. Boy, I'm salivating as I type this out!
Ladies, the women from Downtown Church of Christ will be meeting Tuesday night at DCC at 6:30 to be in prayer for us as we are worshiping at River, for a spirit filled evening. You are welcome and encouraged to join them.
Remember to plan to bring peanut butter for the Good Sam's food ministry. As you walk up to the big tent there will be a truck with containers to put it in. If you have not let us know yet do so as soon as you can. I will be sending out one more email. God Bless

Less than a week away guys

Guys, we are a little more than a week away from our next meeting. We have talked with the people from Good Sam's food pantry and they say that peanut butter is the thing to bring. So this meeting bring a jar of peanut butter and it will restock their shelves. That is a wonderful ministry that feeds over 70 families a month not only that it is prime example of unity in the body of Christ.
This meeting is shaping up to be one of our best. We will be under the big tent provided by Crane Auto Group, setting at tables and chairs provided by Cousins Office Supply, for the meal prepared by "Who Dats". Men keep these businesses on your mind when you need these services or products.
I can't wait to experience the worship of the combined team of guys from River of Life, Centennial Baptist Kensett, Word of Life and Gene and the praise team from FUMC. We are going to have 3 powerful testimonies, one man from each host church. If you still have a friend or a guy you have been trying to get to come this will be it. The Holy Spirit will be present big time.
Men if you are planning to come let us know so we can give Doug from "Who Dats" some kind of count so he will know how many to prepare food for. Remember, River of Life Church, 6:00 p.m.,June 14th a spirit filled evening with like minded men who love Jesus. How could it ever get any better than this, short of Heaven. Remember Jesus loves you and there is nothing you can do about it. God Bless

SOT coming up Fair Grounds

Guys, tomorrow remind the men about SOT on Tuesday. Remember we are after that man that goes to church, leaves, and doesn't think about Jesus until the next Sunday. I know all about him. I lived that for 39 years. The man that professes to be a Christian but is in the world 367 hours a week. The man that knows there is a God but doesn't have a relationship with Jesus. It is our job to bring him so he can witness other men worshiping and giving testimonies about how Jesus has change their lives. Don't take no for a answer go and pick up him. I am expecting all of us to bring someone new this time. How could a one resist King Kat catfish, with beans, french fires, slaw, hush puppies, and home made brownies by the ladies from St. Mary's. Gene and the boys are going to be leading worship, Pastor Gant has two men from his church giving testimonies, some men from John 3:16 will have a short talk, Pastor Gant has a little surprise. St. Paul will have the crosses to give away. Remember bottle water leave it at the door. Find out tomorrow and try to let me know how many by Monday. But if you can't let me know come anyway. We will start at 6:00 and should have you on the way home by 8:30 full of catfish and the Holy Spirit. May God Bless you and yours.

Next meeting

Guys, we are little more than a week away from our next meeting which will be at 6:00 White County Fairgrounds. We are being hosted by St. Marys CME and First United Methodist Searcy. Maybe you have heard or read about there being a shortage of catfish well we have secured enough we think for all that come to have all they want. So when you come be ready to be fed a great catfish dinner with all the fixings it did cost more so think of that when you put your donation in for the meal. We have not had a meeting that did not pay for the dinner by donation yet. We've had guys ask us how long were we going to continue to have a meal? We think that is a very important part of our meeting, a time of fellowship with other men who love Jesus and as long as it is possible it will happen. Pastor Gant has two guys who have powerful testimonies and are ready to share them with us. Worship will be lead by Gene and the guys with a couple of surprises thrown in. So come ready to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in a big way. Remember bring your sons, your father, your brother, your co-worker, your neighbors and especially the guy who sets next to you in your church. Our mission is to get that luke warm fellow church goer on fire for the Lord so spread the word. It is all about Jesus. We are bringing bottle water for the White County Law Enforcement Officers just put them inside the door as you come in. If you have not already let us know do so by hiting reply with a number of how many are coming. Looking forward to seeing and being bless again by the face of Jesus as you come in. We love you guy's and may God Bless you and yours.
